The secret to staying youthful!

I know I don’t want to get “old”.

I am happy to get old-er, as this means for me having a family and watching them grow up!

However I really don’t want to miss out on having fun in later years because my body has got “old”.

We can miss out on great adventures if we don’t look after ourselves.

As we get older we all want to do this gracefully and naturally avoiding illness and injury.

 

I’m sure that we also want to stay as self-confident as possible and feel positive about our bodies, without the need for extreme procedures or spending lots of money on “anti-aging” products that may or may not work!

For me I don’t want to limit myself and not enjoy life’s culinary pleasures, so dieting is definitely out! 😉

So what is the solution to keep feeling young, full of energy and able to enjoy our selves whilst staying self confident?

 

Changing our daily routine to include a fun and easy way of being healthy!

 

So there are lots of way of being healthy and they work for different people but the key message I want to share is that we want it to be SIMPLE and ENJOYABLE, so then we really want to do it and we can do it everyday!!

 

What healthy changes have you made in your life that you do everyday?

What is the saying: You are only as young as you feel 🙂 the changes I have made are accumulative over the years- moved out of a city and now walk on the beach each day, 18 months ago went totally ( well almost) alkaline, daily meditation and journaling. Started painting again and let my inner child out

  2. I love getting older, each year I reflect and feel how much I’ve learned and how much further I have come. But I’m with you on not getting “old”. I think for me just laughing everyday and enjoying the present moment is what helps me not feel my age! Nice post!

    1. Thanks Laura! Laughter is great to boost our health by keeping the immune system working really well. Oh and it feels great too lol!!!

  3. I was just thinking about this today. I don’t want to get old, and I think so much of it is in your mind and like you said, our actions! One of the big changes I made about 5 years ago is to make time to work out every day. That’s definitely made me feel younger. Another is that I stopped drinking alcohol. That was a huge change for me and I feel great. The other thing I do every morning is journal, which I think keeps my mind young. Thanks for the great post.

    1. Hello Deanna, the yoga I practise combines gentle postures that move with our natural breathing rhythms. However there is also meditation involved during the relaxation and I use a type of meditation technique when guiding you to develop your practise intuitively.
