How can you make your spiritual practice fun and enjoyable everyday?

Do you have a spiritual practice you know is great for you and you love doing… if only you could get motivated to do it everyday?

We know that there are many more benefits from practicing everyday than just once in a while or even once a week.

Boosting your vibration, getting into a better frame of mind, more energy and less stress are just a few of the main benefits.

We also have more fun, more positive emotions and more clear and focused minds.

So what do you do to keep motivated to do your spiritual practice everyday?

For me I use a “flexible discipline” approach that works best for my life and particular energy make-up.

This uses the law of polarity, embracing both the negative and positive aspects of hard work and flexibility.

I know that there are a number of times during the day when I could fit in some yoga. This flexibility allows me to not get bored of doing the same routine, or to feel like I “have” to do it at the same time and in the same way everyday.

But in the opposite direction I have the discipline that I pick at least one of these times during the day to do my yoga, and then I stick to that time. This way I know I will do it, but it fits in the best way to whatever is in my schedule that day and how I’m feeling as well.

So I’d love to know your ways of doing your personal practice everyday!

Lots of love

  1. I love my spiritual practice when I do practice. Sometimes it is easier when the practice is needed in emotional times. I find it helps for motivation to keep my space clean and tidy.

    1. Hey Kama, yes I love the feeling when I’ve just hoovered my yoga room, I want to get on and do some straight away! 🙂

  2. Oh gosh I have been so slack! I was meditating daily and I would love to do some yoga every day at home. What works best for me is scheduling myslef so I am going to put it in google calendar again – when I do it works!

    1. That is a good tip Louise as we generally have our email open alot of the day! Bon courage for getting back into daily meditation 🙂

  3. You know it’s funny because lately it has felt like I have fallen back on my practice of meditating daily and I really want to get back on track. One thing that I do every day though is write. I love to write inspirational messages, which are usually just whatever pops into my head at the time, so I go with it!!

    1. I would suggest combining the two so maybe you meditate for a few minutes, then write down a few thoughts of inspiration. This way you are feeling excited about your meditation as it involves something you love x

  4. I love the permission of combining both discipline and flexibility. I do that too, otherwise I get to rigid which doesn’t really contribute to my expression of spirituality. I too practice qigong or yoga or meditation daily and allow myself to vary it so I can live my life with spontaneity.

    1. A girl after my own heart! A good balance is so important, so we get what we want done but don’t beat ourselves up about not doing it at certain times. Looking forward to hearing about your Lotus workshop!

  5. I plan my day the night before to see what fits with my day. Where can I do my writing? What kind of exercise do I want, and where will it fit? How and when will I take care of the practicalities of the day? I’m learning how to plan “sit still” time as well, even though it’s not my strength. Thanks for promoting a flexible approach with enough structure to make things happen!

    1. Thanks for your experiences Judy, yes for people who love to be busy planning quiet time is really important! I love lists, but am not so forward thinking to be able to plan the following day the night before! I do just love the feeling at the end of the day when there are lots of ticks off the list though haha!
